Our Story

Pilot Landscape started small. In middle school, I began push mowing my neighbors’ lawns in West Des Moines. Continuing into high school, I steadily gained clients and equipment, which allowed me to add basic landscaping services.

At sixteen I bought a trailer and borrowed my family’s Honda Pilot to tow it. Being mobile led to exponential growth. I added more landscaping projects and was drawn to it immediately. Landscaping opposed to lawn care allowed me to be more creative and was much more enjoyable. Aiming to phase out mowing and phase in landscaping, I consulted with other landscapers and thoroughly researched industry best installation methods.

We booked our first clients in early 2017 and by the end of the year, Pilot Landscape Solutions, LLC was founded. We have been solely focused on landscape design and installation ever since then. While growing the business, I attended Iowa State University’s distinguished Department of Horticulture- studying Landscape Design, Installation, and Management. The aim was to provide my clients the best quality work I can. After graduating in December of 2022, my team and I have been committed to designing and building the best landscapes we can.
